WAYS TO SUPPORT
In addition to helping fund golf course improvements at Langston and youth golf literacy, our historic preservation goals center around adding an education and archival facility to both teach the game of golf as well as its history. It is our mission to not only preserve the rich history of Langston, but to preserve the precious history of organizations like the United Golfers Association (UGA), the only organization that offered African Americans an opportunity to compete in golf starting in the 1920's and continuing through times of heightened racial discrimination.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
Langston Golf Course stands as a shrine of African American history in Washington D.C. and has a legacy steeped in phenomenal stories of perseverance, persistence, and faith. Today a group of concerned citizens and local business owners colloquially referring to themselves as “Friends of Langston,” seek to keep this amazing legacy alive through activities that focus on stewardship and community engagement. Formally, the Langston Golf Course Conservancy is dedicated to raising funds in support of youth empowerment programs, community development, and cultural preservation in and around the neighborhood surrounding the historic Langston Golf Course.
